As part of my graduation requirements, I was able to complete a community externship. Under the guidance of my advisor, I decided to put together a community resource guide for the Capital Region of New York State. This involved collaboration with various non-profits and grassroots organizations to increase visibility of services to the community. I also created a printable brochure for organizations to distribute to community members. I conducted video interviews to familiarize the public with members engaged in public outreach. Finally, I attended community events to document ongoing community projects and build relationships. The final product can be accessed via the link below.
